This holiday season, Smile Squad in Shepherd, TX, was treated to a very special and somewhat unexpected visit. While we’re used to seeing smiles all day, nothing quite prepared us for the jolly chuckle and rosy cheeks of none other than Santa Claus himself stepping into our office! That’s right, before making his global rounds delivering toys and joy, Santa decided to make sure his own smile was merry and bright. And oh, what a story we have to tell!

Santa’s Pre-Flight Check-Up

It all started one crisp December morning when a sleigh (yes, a real sleigh) was spotted parking (not so seamlessly) in our lot. Out stepped Santa, claiming he needed a “pre-flight check-up” for his smile. After all, he’s got millions of photos to smile for in one night!

A List of Dental Wishes

Santa, ever the list-maker, pulled out his own dental wish list. Topping his list was making sure his pearly whites were ready for the camera. “I’ve got to outshine Rudolph’s nose in all the selfies,” he joked. Then he asked for a quick tutorial on how to floss while flying (it’s all about multitasking, folks).

The Great Candy Cane Debate

While checking Santa’s teeth, we stumbled upon remnants of his favorite snack—candy canes. When gently reminded about the sugary snack’s potential harm to his teeth, Santa winked and whispered, “But don’t you know, I only eat the sugar-free kind!” Santa then promised to leave an extra stash of sugar-free candy canes under our tree for being such good sports.

Rudolph’s Request

As we were finishing up, Santa shared that Rudolph had a request of his own—a brighter shine for his nose to lead through even the foggiest Christmas Eves. While nose brightness isn’t exactly our specialty, we couldn’t let Rudolph down. So, we gifted Santa a special dental-grade polish with a note, “For Rudolph’s nose, to shine and glow, so through the foggy night, he’ll lead the show.”

Santa’s Parting Wisdom

Before dashing away, Santa shared some Yuletide dental wisdom: “Remember, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is smiling bright for all to hear!” He then thanked us with a hearty laugh, promised to brush and floss even on his busiest night, and left a trail of laughter and a hint of peppermint in the air.

Santa’s surprise visit was a humorous reminder that during the holiday hustle and bustle, it’s important not to forget about our dental health. Plus, it taught us that even those who are magical and merry need to take care of their smiles.
